Development Diary

I was brought in as an emergency replacement director for this project after a scheduling conflict arose for the original director. Pre-production to delivery was all done in the span of a few months. It was a challenging project on a shoestring budget. Principal photography was two days, with an average of 11.5 pages to shoot per day. It was honestly the most hectic and stressful project I had to direct. It was also the first film I had directed which I hadn't written, which was a new experience. Given all the constraints and challenges right from the get go, I consider it a feat that it got made at all.

Lessons learned:
Trying to make a cinematic sitcom under duress is not realisitc.
